I hope you had a great Valentine’s day! That was my gift to my sweetie Alan. It was going to be just a card to begin with, but then I thought it would like nice in a black frame, so I just make it into a print instead. I think it really turned out nice. And it’s so true – I love that man 🙂
No workouts for me today. Rest day!!
We had to run some errands in the morning. I wore my special Valentine’s day socks (which were actually Sydney’s, but they are a little too big for her). When I turned around, I saw Zoe on the prowl. She attacked my sock and eventually the sock was found under the bed!
It was a good thing the my goal was to to to the store and return stuff this morning, because otherwise I would have been smart and stayed at home! The roads were terrible and I was slipping all over the place. Whose dumb idea was this??
But there is always a higher meaning to it all, and sure enough my true direction was revealed…. it was to score a super great deal on this cake mix!! I mean, no, I wasn’t in the market for a cake mix, but when they were blowing these babies out for 51 cents a box, I could not resist. I got two boxes. I almost went back in the store to buy more, but the weather was so bad even I didn’t want to do that. This box has the cake mix, frosting and even sprinkles!! For 51 cents! We decided they must taste really bad and no one else wanted them. Only time will tell.
Later I caught my kids up to no good. Look at them reading books quietly at the table, without even being asked to. Where’s all the arguing? Hmmmmm, it must be a holiday!
To celebrate Valentine’s day, the girls made yummy treats for the guys. Super brownies with frosting and sprinkles and chocolate covered strawberries (and a couple of bananas). Yum!! Alan and I even busted out a bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal.
Dinner was more than delicious and the company was even better.
