Best quote of my day (life)… from Zachary my son –
“I gotta tell you Dad, if you hadn’t married Mom, I probably would have.”
Awwwww, way to melt a Mommy’s heart 🙂 🙂 I hope all of you had a great Mother’s Day – whether it was being with/thinking of your Mom or being honored as the kick ass Mom you may be! Mine was pretty awesome. It started with some breakfast in bed. Sadly I couldn’t drink the orange juice (my favorite!!/stupid mouth), but the rest was delicious.
I was showered with gifts. Some treasures from my kids…
And an awesome promise from my hubby. This will be happening in the next week when he is feeling better.
Then we went to the zoo! Mostly to see the diver that feeds the fish in the new aquarium, but otherwise to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Then Sydney borrowed my phone and took some pictures too… We have such a cool new aquarium!
After the zoo it was time for Zachary’s soccer game. I asked him to score a goal for me, and he did!! Too bad it started raining half way through it, but other than that, it was a good one.
I did some research on Google and it could take 14 days for my incision to heal up. Oh boy, another week of a sore mouth! I’ve been enjoying a boring diet of soup, applesauce, pudding and other foods that are soft, but not cold. I haven’t had an allergic reaction to my new antibiotic, so that’s a good thing. Another day closer to being healed…

Q: For the Moms out there – did you get any homemade treasures for Mother’s Day?
Q: Do you get a traditional gift for your Mom?
Mine is pretty standard – hanging flower basket. I love them, and my Mom does too!
Q: Favorite breakfast food?
I’ve been eating a lot of steel cut oats post-op. I even had it for lunch today!
Zack ‘ s quote was the greatest ever! And, I’m so jealous of your raised garden. I actually asked Mark for one and he told me no. I guess I’ll have to do it myself!
Pssss, don’t tell the HOA about the garden. Haha! We planted the upside down tomato planter this weekend. It weighs a ton!!
Looks like you had a very special Mother’s day!!!! Yes, treasures from our ‘lil ones are the BEST!!! Ben made me a jewelry box (actually wooden box was put together, but he painted it and signed his name on the bottom)… BEST GIFT EVER! I will treasure it forever! He also drew a picture which melted my heart.
Sorry about the mouth issue, but at least now you are on the count down to getting back to “normal.”
LOVE the pictures at the Aquarium!!! One of the summer to do list for Ben is to go to the Atlanta Aquarium!! He can’t wait!!!! Secretly, I think I am just as excited!!!
Heck ya, aquariums and zoos are great places. We still need to nail down plans for our summer trips. I’ve got lots of ideas though!
Awwww that is the sweetest comment from your son! When my sis and I were little mum would always ask us who we were going to marry and we would say daddy of course! Kinda hilarious 🙂
Gorgeous handmade cards, hand made are the best! I gave my mum a scarf (the butterfly one I wear like five times a week on my blog haha) so we can be matching even though we are in different countries 🙂
Love he pic of you guys having brekkie in bed too, we always used to make mum and dad brekkie in bed on holidays! So much fun! 🙂

What a sweet Mother’s Day you had.! 🙂 I can’t wait for little home made cards like that. Nothing more special than that.!
My favorite breakfast food depends on my mood or what I’m doing that day. Usually on weekends I like omelets but other days than just a peanut butter sandwich.
The Aquarium looks like lots of fun.!!

Thanks, cards and gifts like that are such treasures indeed! I actually love cold cereal. I have been missing my big bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch!!
