So what did we do while Alan was out running the Mohican Trail 100? We did just what he requested – we had fun! We had to wait a long time to see Alan between his aid stations (hours!) so we headed over to Mohican Adventures while he was out running. The biggest draw at Mohican Adventures was the canoeing, but we didn’t do that. We went on the aerial park!
I wasn’t sure what to expect. I actually thought it looked kind of like a lame experience where you just walked across planks in the air. I couldn’t have been more wrong! It was really cool and required a lot of physical strength to maneuver, not to mention mental strength not to freak out that we were up so high just balancing on wires, or steps, or any of the many other obstacles we maneuvered through!!
We were strapped in just like ziplining and even had to zipline between a few of the stations. Soooooooo cool! That big “cheese wall” was exceptionally challenging because it really gave the arms a workout! We ended up spending an hour and twenty minutes on the park and finished two “beginner” courses and two “intermediate” courses. I thought the intermediate courses were quite challenging. Not sure I would be up for either of the next two advanced level of courses!
Next, we played two games of mini golf. The first course was based purely on luck. The second course was supposed to based on skills. I’m not sure we were any better at one course than the other! We each got a hole-in-one that day.
Finally, we went on the Go-Karts. I am not a fan of going fast in little vehicles. As an example, jet skis scare the living crap out of me. In the past, I have been the slowest go kart driver on the track… just putting along. But not this time. I was in all out race car driver mode!! Those little karts were the bomb and I floored mine. Passed my daughter with a wild laugh. I think I surprised both of us. Good times indeed!!
We will definitely need to come back here when Alan isn’t running so he can enjoy the fun with us.

Q: Are you afraid of heights?
If so, an aerial park will not be fun for you, sorry! 🙂
Q: Do you like Go-Karts?
You guys had waaaaaaay more fun than I did that day! Glad you weren’t bored.
Next time you will do it with us!!
Awwww hahaha that comment from Alan is too funny!
I am a mixed bag when it comes to heights. I get scared on the climb up a roller coaster, but I think that’s more about the fear of knowing what goes up must come down (really fast)! I don’t mind flying or looking down from the top of a tall building. I think I would enjoy the aerial park but also be nervous at first!
The first obstacle was a bit scary, but then we got used to it. Some of the obstacles were definitely mind over matter!
Oh, the aerial park looks AMAZING!!!!!! How fun that had to be!!!!!
And, my son is so into go carts!!!! LOVES them!!! Pretty much riding every weekend!!!
And, your husband cracks me up with comments he leaves!! Too funny!!!!
The aerial park was really cool. So much more than I expected. I’m looking forward to going back! (with Alan!!)
