Have you made any race plans for 2018? Around here we’re gearing up for the Glass City Marathon in April. This year they have the 5K on Saturday, April 21st, and the full/half/relay on Sunday, April 22nd. It’s going to be a whole weekend of racing!!
Don’t forget that early bird pricing ends on January 1st, so sign up before the new year gets here!! You can sign up HERE.
I’m going to be running the half, and the relay with my family again. This year the half marathoners are getting a commemorative half zip for the 10th anniversary, so don’t miss out on that either!
There are also some races coming up this spring that you should consider adding to your race calendar:
January 12 – Dave’s 10 Miler & 5K. The shirts have Yeti’s this year!!
March 16 – the Blarney Shamrockin’ Shuffle This race is downtown, with all of the action of St. Patties day at the Blarney. Always a good time, if you’re running, or just shuffling along.
April – Glass City Marathon!!
I will also be helping out as a coach with the Dave’s MIT (Marathon In Training) group as a sub when needed, so I might be joining some of you on your weekly long runs! The MIT plan is a great way to keep motivated during the short days of winter.

Q: Are any of these races on your calendar in 2018?
Q: What race are you most looking forward to this year?
Q: Got any big plans for New Years Eve?
We’ll be enjoying some family time at home, watching Despicable Me 3. Can’t wait, I love those movies!
So far have the Dave’s 10 miler (if home), Boston, Glass City relay, and then the Olander 24 hour race. After that, will start planning on fall races!
