We had a fun social event this week – running around at night viewing Christmas lights!

I noticed on my Camera Roll that I didn’t actually get pictures of the neighborhood lights, but I was pretty much the back of the pack so I didn’t want to get too far behind the group!

It has another unseasonable warm night for December – in the 50’s!  I really should have worn shorts at that temperature, but I have a new pair of Athleta tights that have a lot of reflective spots on them, so I figured it was best to be seen on the roads.  It was a good temperature for a short sleeve t-shirts though!

Not sure why, but we never thought to wear our xmas lights or anything “Christmasy”.  Totally lost out on that opportunity!  We ended up running 5 miles around the town, and even sang a Christmas carol when we got back.

After run festivities were enjoying some Christmas Ale… and chowing down on some pizza!!

Quite the enjoyable evening.  Glad to have such fun running friends in the area!

Q: Are you part of any running groups that run together regularly?

These runners are Alan’s friends and they run together early on the weekend.  I got to be the “plus one” on the invite 🙂  I don’t have a group that I run with regularly.

Q:  Are there lots of Christmas lights where you live?

I think the warm weather definitely encouraged more people to decorate around here!

Q: Do you have a favorite winter beverage?

  1. Looks like a fun run! Our neighborhood really does it up for Christmas! The lights are more colorful and fun than classy and elegant. But then again our neighborhood is not that elegant so it totally works! 🙂

    1. We only have 3 trees decorated in our yard, each with a couple strands of lights. So I wouldn’t say we go all out, but it gives the house a nice glow I think.
