So you’re signed up for a race at Glass City… do you know where to get your race packet?  I’ll help you with the details on that!  The Health & Wellness expo is where you want to go.  It’s located at the University of Toledo at Savage Hall Arena  – 2801 West Bancroft, Toledo, OH  43606.

The expo will be open on Saturday, April 22nd from 9am to 5pm.  When you first enter Savage Hall pay attention… the Ambassador table is there!!  Here’s a shot from last year.  Such helpful young people.  haha  Seriously though, look for the crew in yellow Ambassador shirts (or white quarter zips).  We have *all* the answers!!

You need to have your ID to pick up your race packet, so come prepared!  Also, the bibs are arranged by number, so you’ll also need to know your bib number.  Don’t worry, the Ambassadors can help you look it up!  You will be pleasantly surprised at what a well orchestrated event Glass City is!  There are a ton of people working behind the scenes to make sure your race experience is the best!!  I know – I’ve seen behind the scenes.  (yeah Toledo Roadrunners!!)

The expo is open to the public, and of course it’s free, so bring your friend along!  If they aren’t already a runner, they will be sure to catch the running bug there 😉

Outside of the packet pickup area, there will be over 50 vendors at the expo!  It’s the perfect time to grab a new headband, GCM official gear, a deal on shoes, racing fuel, and much more! Here’s a list of the vendors participating.

There’s a lot of great stuff to check out at the expo, so plan to spend some time there!  And don’t forget the Findley Davies Kids Marathon going on at noon that day.  You won’t want to miss those future runners.  Their spirit is the best!!

Q:  Do you have a favorite thing from a race expo?

I love sampling all of the fueling products!!  I love to get a race shirt too.  Oh, and those lip balm giveaways… and hats, and deals on socks.  Love deals on socks!!
