Let’s start out with some more awesome things…
I found a bag of chocolates in my desk drawer when I was packing up my stuff to move. That’s like finding $5 in your jeans!
I got out for a run today. Yep, outside!! Last night before I went to bed I got a text from a friend asking if I wanted to go for a run today. She was going 10 miles. At first I thought I would join her for a few miles. Then I realized I could get my Sunday run out of the way if I went all 10 miles with her. So, hellz yeah! Sign me up. It was a good run, with non stop chatting, but still a good pace. I was pretty worn out by the end of the run, and definitely looking forward to having a day off on Sunday!
Sydney took a artistic picture of me before my run 🙂 Even though it was almost 30 degrees outside, I just wasn’t sure how to dress and after I ran to the corner to meet my friend, I ran back to the house to swap out my regular tights for my fleece lined tights! I love my fleece lined tights immensely and it’s so hard to give them up. It was a pretty good choice because my legs never got cold in the wind.
Later in the day, we went to a college basketball game. We got the tickets for free, because we love free events! We were surprised to find out it was actually women’s basketball instead of men’s. Oh well, it was a good time anyways.
And finally… sorry to end on a low note, but we had to say goodbye to our little kitty Pico on Friday. I say “little” kitty because over the course of her illness she got quite small. Almost a third of her “full size” weight. Just a frail little 6 year old kitty that had the misfortune of having a tumor behind her eye. She was a sweet little kitty that always ran over to greet me at the door when I came home, walked around my feet while I was trying to work in the kitchen, and loved to lick the freezer drawer… even when her tongue got stuck to it 🙁 It was quite an emotional day on Friday. I’ve been missing her so much, thinking that she is going to come over and see me while I am typing.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: We do have another kitty, Zoe. She is about the same age as Pico.
Q: Do you think spring is just around the corner finally??
A: I really think it is! It just has that feeling outside.

So sorry about your gorgeous Pico. Hopefully she is in kitty heaven/at peace/whatever happy place kitties go to when they pass on. Losing pets is so hard! I don’t have any, my cat passed away a bunch of years ago, she was so sweet. It’s hard to have pets when your life is as random as mine right now!
Thanks. I’m still in a bit of shock from the whole thing. Thinking she will be running to greet me at the door again 🙁
